| EF 82 RESEARCH WORK AND MATURITY TEST (15 ECTS) |
The research work affords the student the opportunity to enrich his/her professional competence, to develop his/her skills in learning and evaluation as well as in communication and cooperative efforts. At the same time the student is applying his/her professional skills and knowledge in independent work and in groupwork and is establishing the groundwork for personal professional development. Through the research work the student or student group experiences the analytical and developmental approach to work in the process of examination and analysis as well as of planning and development, or as a part of development of working life. The research work is regarded as a long-term process which incorporates information acquisition, analysis and reflection. The student receives guidance and feedback at various stages of the process. The student is provided with separate instructions and guidelines for the research work and the maturity test. The maturity test consists of a demonstration of overall competence. The research work and maturity test are evaluated separately and assigned separate grades. The research work and maturity test study unit draws from studies in research methods from other study units.
