Objectives
The student is able to assess different social work approaches to
Child Care in European countries. The student is able to analyse
convergences and divergences of social care patterns for the
future. The student develops an understanding of new working
procedures in Child Care, especially solution- centered and family-
centered working methods.
Content
Trends in Child Care in Western Europe. Convergences and
divergences in Child Care policy and practice across Europe. Critical
questions about Child Care in Europe. New working methods.
Prerequisites
Second or third year university/Polytechnic students
Method
Lectures, workshops and project work with small group tutorial.
Assessment
Level of activity. Project work and examination/essay (1-5).

The student will develop an understanding of Community Work with
Outreach Youth Work as a part of it.

Objectives
The student is able to develope his own knowledge and skills to
enhance the position of disabled people by using sport as a tool of
rehabilitation.
