Riskienhallintaan erikoistumista tukee EU Leonardo pilottiprojekti MIRF (Managing International Risks and Finance) 12 - 20 cr. Osallistuessaan MIRF-projektiin opiskelija suorittaa opintojaksot AE7314 - 7318 sekä Case-tutkimuksen "Case study: Assessing and Managing International Risk", joko "Kehittämisprojektina" (AE5500-5505 2 - 6 ov) tai "Opinnäytetyönä" (10 ov).

| AA7313 Henkilöstöriskit ja henkilöstötilinpäätös 2 ov |
Tavoite Opiskelija ymmärtää henkilöstön merkityksen yrityksen voimavarana ja tunnistaa henkilöstöriskit. Opiskelija osaa laatia henkilöstö-tilinpäätöksen ja käyttää sitä riskienhallintakeinona ja viestinnän välineenä. Opiskelija ymmär-tää työolosuhteet, työlainsäädännön ja työmarkkinat henkilöstöhallinnon riskitekijöinä.

Objectives The student is able to analyse the risks and opportunities of international trade, and reduce risks through planning of international marketing, strategic entry options, and international operations in accordance with risk management principles and means.
Content Exploration of Challenges in the International Operating Environment in View of Company Marketing Strategy and Internal Organisation, Ability to Use Market Information, Operational Performances and Marketing Decisions, Adapting Risk Management Process Issues Explored.

| AE7315 Managing Risks in International Human Resource Management/MIRF 2 CR |
Objectives The student will be able to evaluate sources of labour within the EU, identify the major constraints in employment law and to assess the long term profitability with the help of Human Resources Accounting. The student will understand the importance of 'life-long learning' and will be able to identify and manage risks in recruitment and selection. The student will be able to analyse cultural differences and problems confronted with expatriate staff.

| AE7316 Management of International Financial Risks /MIRF 2 CR |
Objectives The student will acquire an understanding of international finance and financial risks and of their management compared to domestic finance. The student will acquirean understanding of company risk management policy and risk management strategy and of the importance of risk taking. He/she will be able to identify, measure and communicate financial risk and make suggestions and give advice how to manage them.
Content Risk Taking Policy Stated in Company Strategy, Differences in International and Domestic Finance, use of Risk Management Methodologies, Main Categories of Financial Risk:, Counterparty (including Credit Risk), Funding, Derivatives (the basics), Interest Rate, Currency, Risks due to Introduction of EURO.

| AE7317 Managing Risks in Activities and Projects (incl. IT risks)/MIRF 2 CR |
Objectives The student will be able to understand the business processes and to identify risks involved in processes, activities and projects, IT and electronic trading also in international context. The student will be able to use techniques and methods in planning and organising work and will be able to identify and understand the importance of management, exchange of information, and communication factors.
Content Planning and Organisation (Microsoft Project), Co-ordination of Human, Physical and Financial Resources in Carrying Out Activities and International Projects. Review and Monitoring: Value Analysis, Systems Analysis; Performance Standards and Indicators; Impact on Technology; Activity Based Accounting, Incompatibility of IT Systems and Programmes of International Partners, Year 2000 Problems in different countries, Risks in Extranets and Internet, Electronic Trading.

| AE7318 Risks in the Operating Environment/MIRF 2 CR |
Objectives The students will be able to understand and evaluate the risks both in national and international operating environments. The student will be able to take these risks into account in planning and decisionmaking.
Content Economic Systems, Exchange Rates, Trade Policies, Culture, Environmental Risks: Environmental Damage and Social Responsibilities, Regulatory Controls and Law Relating to Environment, Sustainable Development and Environmental Accounting, Technological Risks, Political Risks.
