Objectives and contents
The students will get an idea of the important philosophical trends and the concepts of information and operation from the polytechnic point of view, the meaning of moral and ethical approach to work and the contents of professional expertize. They create a basis for a developing and investigating attitute to work, and for applying their knowledge of their own field in future practical job training periods. The student will get to know entrepreneurship and internal entrepreneurship.
The subjects are as follows:
Research and development (2 cr)
the concept of research and data, main principles of research, research project/ the study of work and reporting
Material: Books by agreement. Will be notified at the beginning of the academic year 2000-2001.
Entrepreneuship (1cr)
A profession and growing into a profession (1 cr)
professional expertise, learning in groups as a means to professional growth, innovation and creative problem solving in growing into a professional in working life
Material: Books by agreement. Will be notified at the beginning of the academic year 2000-2001.
Assessment 1–5.
A summarizing exercise of the study unit: an essay or a short thesis alone or with a partner on: Expertise and how to become an expert in your field.
