Objectives The students internalises the philosophical and scientific basis of perioperative nursing while taking care and supporting transitions of individuals belonging to different age groups and having different cultural backgrounds. Nursing therapeutics and performances of the student are based on scientific evidence of nursing science and related disciplines.
They are able to plan, implement and evaluate patient centred perioperative nursing care during the phases of perioperative process together with the patient, his/her family and multiprofessional team.
They are able to support the individual resources of his/her patient and are able to secure the patient’ s right to make decisions concerning his/her own nursing care.
They aware about environmental factors in perioperative care and is able to secure the safety of the patient. The student is able to deliver goal -oriented nursing care, he/she masters the care and knowledge in nursing and is able to make decisions with responsibility.
