Objectives The students internalise the fundamental values and scientific foundations of nursing.

They appreciate and are able to recognise the values that underlie the choices made by nursing clients.

They develop their self-knowledge and professional growth so as to be capable of genuine interaction with different people in varied cultures as well as multiprofessional co-operation.
They are able to recognise and prioritise the need for help of an individual, a family and the community during various life changes.

They are able to make independent decisions in nursing together with the patients or the clients and their significant others as well as to draw up a nursing care plan, implement and assess it and document the care with others involved in it.

They are able to participate together with other professional groups in the planning and management of health care services.

They are able to act effectively and economically and to improve nursing quality. They are also familiar with the meaning of entrepreneurship in health care and social welfare services.
