| KV2002 English Language II: Written Expression 2 credits |
Aim and content:
To enable students to use written communication as a tool for developing critical thought. Through engaging in simulated conference environments, students will work on a series of intertextual group tasks that use the English language to develop their curriculum vitae, formulate cover letters to prospective clients and employers, and sharpen their ability to make visual presentations in a foreign language.
Prerequisite:
Successful completion of KV1504, or competency test.

| KV2003 English Language III: Negotiation Skills and Techniques 3 credits |
Aim and content:
To further polish the negotiations skills and methods students have gained in English I and II. Students will engage in a series of highly interactive group exercises that “fine-tune” rhetorical styles and presentation techniques. Particular emphasis is placed on the linguistic skills required for conducting negotiations, such as verbal and written negotiations, communicating and defending opinions, and reporting on a corporation or negotiation. Students will also practice chairing discussion forums and keeping minutes. Students will create and deliver complex presentations both on teams and as individuals.
Prerequisites:
Successful completion of KV1504 and KV2002.
